Yearbook Sales are now underway.  Price is $16 per book through March 16.  Price after March 16 is $20.  You must pre-order your yearbook by April 11th to guarantee you will receive one -- only a few extras will be ordered and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.  A printable order form is available in the documents section of this website (payment accepted by cash, check or money order).  For an additional convenience fee of $3.50 charged by the yearbook company, you may order your yearbook online and pay by credit card (see instructions below).

This year's book will again feature a special section for 5th graders and will also contain more candid photos of school and class events such as field trips, musicals, et.  Order yours today, and receive it during the last week of school!

To order online, do the following:

1. Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and enter our school number
2. Enter our school number 18990 and click continue
3. Click Buy a Yearbook
4. Enter your student's name.  You will receive the message, "Can't find student or business."  Click That's o.k., click here to add new.
5. Follow the prompts to place your order.
6. Remember a $3.50 convenience fee will be charged by the company in addition to the price of the yearbook itself and that you must order by April 11, 2012.

It's not too late to join PTA!  To join, use the membership envelope sent home earlier in the year in your student's Thursday folder, print your own membership envelope by clicking here, or send the following information to school with your child, along with payment of $5 for one adult membership or $10 for a family membership (2 adult memberships):  name(s) of adult member(s), address, phone number, e-mail address, the names of your children at Riverside, grade, and teacher's name.  Please make your check payable to "Riverside Elementary PTA."

Joining does not mean you must attend meetings or participate, although we hope you will choose to do so : )  Please consult the website calendar for meeting times and other PTA activities for you and your child.

Welcome Riverside Families -

Excitement is in the air as our children begin a brand new school year!

My name is Joanna Bigley, and I’m honored to be serving as your PTA President this year.  My two children attend Riverside, and I have been an active volunteer at our school for several years.

Please help PTA support our school and students in these fun and easy ways:

Come boo hoo or celebrate the First Day of School with other Riverside parents at the Boo Hoo Yahoo Breakfast, to be held in the School gym on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, immediately after drop-off (9:05 am).  Get to know other Riverside parents and meet our Principal and new Assistant Principal!

Join us for the upcoming Schooners and Chic-Fil-A Restaurant Sponsor Nights (check the website calendar for dates);

Come to the Fall Carnival Fundraiser & Silent Auction scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2011;

Clip those Box Tops symbols from specially marked products and sign-up at www.boxtops4education.com to benefit our school;

Encourage your student to participate in this year’s Reflections “Arts in Education” Program entitled “Diversity means . . . .”; and

Watch our website and monthly newsletter for information about additional PTA-sponsored activities for you and your student.

We are looking forward to a great year, and we really want you to be part of it – so please JOIN the PTA, attend meetings when you can, volunteer, and come to our varied events, which not only provide necessary funds for our school but also allow us the chance to bond as a Riverside School family!
